In 1991, the Arizona Ski council (“ASC”), was formed to promote skiing and friendship among clubs, safety on the slopes and general education of the skiing community while experiencing camaraderie of fellow skiers and adventurers.

ASC is a local chapter of the Far West Ski Association (“FWSA”) which covers 10 Western states, 11 regional councils and approximately 170 clubs with a combined membership of over 50,000.  FWSA is a non-profit organization and the largest ski association in the western United States, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

As a result of ASC’s membership in the FWSA, individual club members who are part of ASC, enjoy substantial group discounts and numerous other advantages offered by and through FWSA.

Clubs who participate in ASC are the Phoenix Ski Club, Scottsdale Sea and Ski Club, Party Time Sports, Arizona Outdoor Travel Club, East Valley Ski Club and the Boeing Employee Adventure Club.  These clubs are not limited to activities in the United States but all over the world.  Follow the individual links connected to each Club below and open a vast world of opportunity that should meet any and all expectations.

Phoenix Ski Club:

More than just skiing, this active adult social club is going full speed ahead with its year-round, non-profit, social and outdoor activities.  Always open to new suggestions, they pride themselves in offering a variety of events designed to appeal to everybody, whether weekly happy hours, many of them spur-of -the –moment, or exploring fun, out-of-the way places.  Traveling out of the country or down the road to bike, hike or sail, this group focuses on connecting with new friends and experiences.

Arizona Outdoor & Travel Club:

AzOTC is an organization for active people who love the outdoors and is ideally suited for skiers to get in shape.  Hiking uphill builds cardiovascular fitness and hiking downhill uses the same muscles as skiing downhill.  If you are serious about skiing, there is no substitute for hiking.  Bode Miller and other skiers on the US Olympic team didn't win Olympic medals without conditioning.  AzOTC offers weekly hiking and biking activities, as well as camping, backpacking, 4X4 trips, and other similar activities.  In the cooler months, activities are close to Phoenix but as the weather warms AzOTC heads off all over the west, Canada, and other countries.  Consisting of experienced leaders, activities are rated from mild to tough.

They enjoy year round outdoor or any type of indoor activity or adventure one could think of. Skiing, hiking, biking, BBQ's, art shows, movies, happy hour & birthday get-togethers.  Like we say, "The Name Say's It All, You Perceive It, We are UP for It". Hopefully you will be too.
